Hosea

ON BREAK JAN. 15 - Mondays @ 6:00 pm

The book of Hosea—it’s a deeply personal and passionate love story, yet it’s a difficult story. As an account full of harsh judgment unfolds, we find in its midst a rare and pure gem: the truest and purest of loves.

Hosea, an old-testament prophet, preached his own life message using his marriage as the sermon illustration. The study of Hosea looks deeply at that message. It provides background to better understand the intricacies of the man and his message. You’ll be guided to understand, but more especially to apply the message of the prophet of love.
The book will challenge us with judgment so harsh it will singe our hair—an unheeded sermon warning of devastating doom shortly to come. But it will show us the kind of love we dream about. Be amazed by the love of Hosea for his wayward spouse—and more amazed by the unfailing love of God for His wayward people, and for all people. Hosea showers us with hope—hints and portents pointing to the coming of the promised Messiah.

Isaiah precept study

On Break until January 9 - Tuesdays @ 9:15 AM

Isaiah is the crown jewel of Old Testament prophets, a book that strikes awe in the heart of its reader, especially when its poetry is read in the Hebrew. Prophecies from Isaiah are mentioned in twenty-two places in the Gospels, Acts, and Romans. The words of Isaiah were often found on the lips of the Christ, the Messiah prophesied in Isaiah. If Jesus, God incarnate, honored this grand and glorious book so highly, then you and I ought to do the same. In Isaiah Part 1, we'll meet the Holy One of Israel, and learn how He deals with those who claim Him as God but don't honor Him as God in the way that they live. And we'll find the destiny of nations, the future of all mankind ... including ours.

Study of 2 Peter

On Break until January 17 - Wednesdays @ 7:10 pm

Join us at CRCC in the conference room during Awana as we read, study & discuss God's Word together. Currently studying 2 Peter, led by Lena Mitchell.

Acts Precept Study

Currently on Break - Thursdays @ 6:30 PM

Acts Precept Study in Gig Harbor. Luke’s first account was his Gospel in which he recorded all that Jesus began to do and teach. His second account we call Acts, or the Acts of the Apostles, in which Luke recorded what happened after Jesus’ ascension to the Father. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, empowering the apostles to testify to the power of God in salvation and in living every day for the gospel. Learn how God spread the gospel through witnesses of Jesus’ death and resurrection, and from their examples, how you too can witness to others. Stand in awe of the power of God in believers to endure persecution and suffering for the cause of Christ and embrace His power in your life. Be encouraged by the results of faithful servants holding forth truth in a dark world; watch as the church grows numerically, geographically, and culturally.

Mom to Mom

ON BREAK until January 12- Fridays @ 9:30 AM

Mom to Mom is a Biblically based parenting program designed around the Titus 2:4 concept of older women teaching and encouraging younger women in their relationships with their husbands and children. It includes quality instruction in parenting, small group discussion, and the interaction of more experienced mothers with younger moms. Designed to be both a place of nurture for committed Christian women and a "safe place" to bring community friends, it often becomes a bridge into the church.
